Each application should be accompanied by a proposer and a seconder, both of whom should be Consultant Radiologists, and at least one of whom should be a member of the Faculty Board.

The rationale for this expansion is based on the increasing number of candidates for Faculty examinations.

It is envisaged that successful applicants will undergo a transition period of observership for the next scheduled sitting of Faculty examinations before becoming fully-fledged examiners for subsequent sittings.

Attendance at Examiner workshops is mandatory during the period of observership.

Applications will be assessed by Chief Examiners in association with Faculty officer representatives, who will issue recommendations for appointment, and provisionally recommended appointees will require ratification by the Faculty Board. Please note that not all applications may be successful if the number of applicants exceeds the number of vacancies.
