Scientific Meetings

The Faculty of Radiologists and Radiation Oncologists conducts several annual scientific meetings, the largest of which is the Annual Scientific Meeting , 2.5 day meeting which takes place in the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin at the end of September. The Combined Spring Meeting , is a 1.5 day meeting which usually takes place in March or April in different locations around the country – previous venues have included the Maryborough House in Cork and the G Hotel in Galway. The Irish MRI Meeting is a one day meeting with a focus on imaging that takes place early in the calendar year and has taken place in Carton House in Kildare for the last few years. This meeting is generally well attended by Radiographers and Physicists. The Neuroradiology seminar rotates between Belfast and Dublin and usually takes place in the summer.

The Faculty meetings are recognised for CPD/ CME certification within Ireland and with other radiology bodies in Europe and North America. A list of meetings that have been accredited for CPD by the Faculty, in addition to meetings that have been accredited by other Postgraduate Training Bodies, is available here: http://www.radiology.ie/professional-competence-scheme/events-accredited-for-cpd/

Numbers for our meetings are limited and we cannot guarantee places will be available on the day so you must register in advance. Please note that payment must be made at time of registration, and we cannot hold places.
